Memory

Very close to the river, on a corner open to the sky and greenery, this building is conceived as a light, transparent architecture in constant dialogue with its surroundings. The generous plot, with wide views and optimal orientation, allows each unit to be imagined as a small elevated house, strongly connected to the outdoors.

The proposal is structured around typological diversity: apartments of various sizes, with private gardens on the ground floor or terraces on the upper levels. Each unit seeks a direct relationship with the outside—with the sky, the vegetation, and the air flowing in from the river. The idea of spaciousness is expressed not only through the layout but also in the quality of light and the depth of the views.

The building envelope is composed of continuous glass planes that allow the landscape to permeate the interior. This full transparency is modulated by a system of screens made from stretched fabric that wraps around the entire building. This light skin filters sunlight, protects against intense solar exposure, and ensures privacy without interrupting the visual connection to the exterior. From within, the world remains present.

This system not only provides climatic and thermal comfort but also gives the architecture a subtle material expression—creating a layered play of light and shadow that shifts throughout the day.

The building does not impose itself on the landscape; it integrates with it—respecting the scale of the neighborhood and enhancing the site’s natural qualities. Each unit is conceived as a space to live with the landscape, to inhabit it from within—with the intimacy offered by shade and the openness granted by transparency.
