Memory
The house is designed for a corner lot at the end of a cul-de-sac, within a gated community in the northern area of Buenos Aires Province. The site borders the river on two sides, offering a privileged connection to the natural landscape.
The house unfolds across three levels: a ground floor for public areas, an upper level for bedrooms, and a basement level that houses all service functions. This strategy frees the ground floor for recreation and maximizes garden and outdoor living spaces.
From the outset, the project aims to foster outdoor living and ensure a strong, uninterrupted relationship with nature from every part of the house.
The ground floor—containing the living room, dining area, kitchen, studios, and a guest bedroom—is structured around a series of patios. These patios are enclosed by solid walls on the outside and open toward the interior, where lush vegetation defines a calm, inward-facing atmosphere.
A gallery runs along the house, connecting all its spaces. Its width varies along the way, creating zones for different outdoor uses. More than just a circulation space, the gallery modulates sunlight, provides shade, and makes each exterior area usable and comfortable throughout the day.
