Memory
The pavilion is located in the Pampas plains, surrounded by alfalfa fields near San Antonio de Areco, in the Buenos Aires Province.
The project stems from a clear decision: to build a horizontal, low, elongated piece that rests quietly on the ground. Its form follows the line of the horizon. Rather than imposing itself, it integrates. The architecture seeks to coexist with the landscape, not to dominate it.
The house is organized as a linear sequence of enclosed and semi-enclosed spaces. A continuous, open gallery wraps around the volume, offering movement and a constant connection to the outside.
The sides are closed for shelter, while the long façade opens fully to the field, allowing the landscape to pass through the house.
The use of simple, exposed materials reflects an intention to build only what is essential. The pavilion offers a direct, quiet way of inhabiting—where architecture supports the natural setting, and daily life aligns with the slow rhythm of the surroundings.
